L’ ICEBERG
Sur le parcours des consciences, de celle de l’adolescent à celle du salarié, puis du citoyen : mon engagement artistique ne s’est jamais confronté aux nécessités matérielles de la vie courante sans en être raffermi. De sorte que mon travail de création a suivi une évolution constante, sous l’effet de la réalité.
Ce mode de cristallisation du réel s’est développé chez moi d’abord par l’usage du matériau invisible que sont les mots. Or si l’amour d’écrire ne m’a jamais quitté, dès neuf ans, chaque fois que les mots ne me permettaient pas la restitution de toutes significations, les lignes de mes phrases se sont muées en formes. Et très vite, ce qui n’était que griffonnage au coin d’une page d’écriture est devenu dessin. Les dessins se sont succédés au point de s’empiler, constituant une forme de création autonome et complémentaire vis-à-vis de l’écriture.
Avant l’avènement d’internet, c’était cette partie non immergée de l’iceberg , la partie visible de mon travail que je cherchais à promouvoir….
AMBIANCE DE TRAVAIL
La partie visible de mon travail est présentée sur des supports divers. Leur seul dénominateur commun est un aspect monochromatique, ou une texture que j’ai jugée propice à une application plastique particulière, quand le support ne m’était tout simplement pas imposé par des conditions de travail, à vrai dire, peu académiques au début.
J’entends par là , que si je ressentais le besoin de créer parce que le « flash mental » qui m’oppressait nécessitait d’être transféré sur un support, de sorte que son intensité décroisse ; selon la force de la vision – le terme est d’ailleurs impropre, puisqu’à l’état brut il s’agissait de mots pensés, d’impressions, de formes existantes entrés en collision, en tentant de cerner une chose qui n’existe pas encore – bref, il se pouvait que, dans l’instant de la création, n’importe quel papier, voir le panneau de bois arraché d’un meuble puissent servir à fixer les murmures bouillonnants de l’inconscient. Ainsi d’emblé mon travail à trouvé à se nourrir comme directement à l’ombilic du SURREALISME, pourrait-on dire.
Aussi peut-on trouver dans mes premières créations et jusqu’à maintenant, des objets hétéroclites, générés par une technique en perpétuelle modulation. Ce- la commence et a commencé, d’ailleurs, avec les série d’yeux façonnés généralement à coup de petits points. Des points, sans doutes, parce que, lorsqu’on est jeune et désireux de toucher, pour voir, les limites de la LITTERATURE, on s’attaque à l’alphabet trop abstrait . On le détruit pour atteindre une correspondante parfaite des lettres avec les autres éléments. Et on se rend compte qu’on est face à une myriade, un étincellement de points, comme contemplant les yeux de sa maitresse ou son amant : face à l’infinité de la forme et du sens, sur les traces de l’autre … et déjà sur la voie de la CALLIGRAPHIE.
Après avoir aimé la surface des yeux , aussi, je suis passé de l’autre côté du regard comme on passe de l’autre côté des miroirs. Le jeu consistait toujours à bannir de l’acte de tracer toutes corrections ou effacements, de manière à maintenir une spontanéité créative exempte de repentirs plastiques. J’aimerais faire savoir, enfin, combien grand est mon souhait, grâce à ce site, de rendre accessible le chemin philosophique qui sous-tend toutes mes créations. Est-il possible que la philosophie soit exprimée par des formes visible, soit des images, et gagne en profondeur d’indicible ce qu’elle aurait perdu dans le silence des mots ?
