Lady Lamb -05/10/2015 – le Pop Up du Label (Paris) par PATRICK BRETELLE
La petite salle du Pop Up Du Label était pleine ce lundi soir pour l’unique concert parisien de la chanteuse américaine Lady Lamb, et il nous a fallu faire la queue pour entrer tant il y avait de monde.
Et cette affluence est justifiée, comme nous allons esssayer de vous le montrer dans la suite de cet article.
L’artiste poursuivait par ce passage dans la capitale sa tournée européenne des clubs avant de repartir aux USA. C’était son unique date en France et vous ne pourrez pas la voir dans nos contrées avant un an. Retenez bien son nom et guettez ses apparitions scéniques.
Elle commence le concert par une chanson a capella, histoire de poser les choses : elle est une chanteuse avant tout, et si elle s’accompagne à la guitare elle ne fait pas preuve de virtuosité ni de démonstration. C’est une lointaine héritière de Janis Joplin, une belle voix chaude et expressive, et si l’instrumentation est folk, les mélodies sont pop-rock et on imagine sans mal ce que ça donnerait si elle était accompagnée d’un batteur et d’un bassiste : un fantastique groupe comme la Grande-Bretagne nous en donne depuis plusieurs décénnies. Elle aura réussi à nous tenir en haleine avec cette formation minimale, nous captivant par son chant et ses compositions. Car elle écrit de superbes pop songs qui se mémorisent aisément et elle a, en plus de sa voix, un talent de songwriter. Oubliez Lady Gaga et écoutez cette autre Lady, de son vrai nom Aly Spaltro, qui elle est jolie en plus d’être douée. Elle a déjà deux albums à son actif et a commencé sa carrière en 2007. Il n’y a qu’une seule lady dans nos cœurs, et c’est Lady Lamb.
